At 6′3″, 235 lbs, the former linebacker was a force to be reckoned with on the field at Alabama, playing under Coach Bryant from ‘77-’80. Junior played in 13 NFL seasons from 1981-1993 for the Cardinals, under Coach Gene Stallings part of the time. Junior also had the chance to play with the Miami Dolphins under legendary coach Don Shula, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Seattle Seahawks. He was a two-time Pro Bowl selection for the Cardinals in 1984 and 1985. EJ Junior is now Head Coach at Central State University in Ohio. The former linebacker discusses his valuable time at the Capstone, the Tides’ current season and the loss of linebacker Dont’a Hightower.
